Astronomy Delight! and Learning Delight! Chief Executive Officer Ed Forrestannounced today that the Gifted and Talented Center Inc. located in Westchester County, Tuckahoe, New York has been named an official Astronomy Delight! and Learning Delight! Camp Of Inspiration.

The Gifted and Talented Center Inc. is a member of the exclusive American Camp Association and is also a recognized leader in providing meaningful opportunities for children to realize their intellectual and personal potential by offering a variety of fun, educational, and challenging programs designed to stimulate the imaginations and creativity of inquisitive children of all ages.

The Gifted and Talented Center Inc. was founded by Camp Director Carole Berman, who has been actively involved in gifted education for over 25 years and serves as director to the Gifted and Talented Center in Charlotte, NC and as President of the Gifted and Talented Foundation.

The Center is in its 29th year of operation and serves over 500 children and their families by offering unique and innovative learning programs in areas such as sports, drama, arts, sciences, computers, technology, robotics, chess, gamesmanship, and a variety of other fun and unique educational disciplines. 

According to Forrest, The Gifted and Talented Center Inc. is one of the finest and most innovative institutions with some of the most dedicated individuals we have ever met when it comes to providing inquisitive children the opportunity to excel in their areas of interest. We are privileged to know that our Astronomy Delight! and Learning Delight! programs will be offered by such a prestigious camp, especially as the Year 2009 International Year of Astronomy gets underway.
